Sounds like a western movie… Right?!?? No trains or dusty gunfights between cowboys and indians here though. Just ducks, herons, geese, fog, and a sunrise. Oh yeah, and palm trees on a beautiful golf course.

Patty’s birthday was last Tuesday, and over the weekend, Jeff threw a fantastic party for her.
After Jeff let me take his Ferrari 360 Spider out for a spin a while back, I was talking with Charlie. Charlie has a friend with a lot of nice cars. One of which is a Tesla.
I was lucky enough to get invited to come to Maui and stay with Jeff and Patty Aubery at a property they built called the Jewel of Kahana. It’s a huge house on a half acre oceanfront lot, outfitted with the latest technology, and absolutely stunning. Two floors with lower walls that retract completely, leaving the entire house open.
Jeff was nice enough to let me take his Ferrari out for a spin today. My first impressions were “wow, that’s a small car”, followed by “holy cow! That’s a fast car”.
Shoreline Park (on the Mesa) in Santa Barbara for Sunsets.
They warned us on the news over the weekend. People ignored it as usual. They warned us again on Monday. So I took the Harley out for a ride on a nice fall day. They warned us again on Tuesday, but it was cloudy and windy, with lots of fall leaves in the air, so I left the bike in the garage and went out in the truck instead.
Thanks to Susan Ricks, I added a bunch of names to the Grade School Pictures that I posted a while back.
We held our 2nd annual Fourth of July block party this year, and it was another successful, if not slightly more sane party. We wrapped it up at 1:30am this year instead of 3am, and it only took an hour to clean up the streets the next morning. And, just to be clear, I have no recollection of any any fireworks at our party… 🙂 I have no idea where all that stuff we had to sweep up came from…
