Horace left on May 9, 1852. She then lost another son Myron 41, in 1875 who was also enroute to the California gold rush. +++++++++++ Roxana's PATRIOT father was Elijah Ward. He was born 12 May 1761 in Union, Connecticut. He died 11 Aug 1832 in Elbridge, Onondaga Co., New York. His Service is listed that he served with Captains Twogood, Haywood, and Peter Bliss and also served under Col. Nixon of Massachusetts Line. His residence during the Revolutionary War was in Brimfield, Massachusetts. Elijah Ward's state of service is Massachusetts. His wife was Marana Colburn (b. 1771, d. 23 Dec 1817. They married in 1787).
