October 1654, Chosen as Burgess for the County of St. Maries (Vol 1 pg 340, "Maryland Manual" on line <http://aomol.net/megafile/msa/speccol/sc2900/sc2908/000001/000001/html/am1--340.html> Vol 10, pg 406 Court and Testamentary Business, 1654. Whereas Joseph Edwards hath Served out his time of Ser- vice due by Indenture to rnr Arthur Turner as appeareth in Court by confession of the Said Arthur Turner and the Said Edwards hath petition this Court for his Corne and Clothes It is ordered that the Said Arthur Turner Shall pay and deliver unto the Said Edwards three Barrells of Corne a falling Axe and a weeding hoe a hatt or Cap a Shirt and a pair of Stock- ings one Suit of woollen Clothes and a pair of Canvas Drawers upon Demand.
