  It looks to me as though Francis was born the son of NT Abbey and Harriett, and that NT took his oldest son, George with him and left Harriett and their son Francois Regis . In the 1860 census NT and George Abbey are living together in Sacramento and Regis and Harriett Abbey are living elsewhere in Sacramento . Isadore Lorenger is living in the same household as Harriett and Regis and is a teamster. Regis is mentions as a son in Isador's will, so perhaps he adopted him.
