On the weekend of May 17th, Erie had it’s annual Balloon Festival. I met Gregg again this year, quite early in the AM. The difference this year? We sat around an waited a LONG time for people to start launching. Last year, they were launching at sunrise, but for some reason, at sunrise, none of the launch teams had even showed up yet. They started trickling in shortly after sunrise, and took at least a couple hours to set up and launch.
I don’t know if they were just disorganized this year, or if it was intentional, but it was kind of annoying. But we did get to cruise around the Vista Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse, and even found coffee to sip while we waited.
My photo album is shown below the break.
