On May 3rd, Gregg called the group together to do a Photowalk in Boulder, CO.
Gregg and I have shot on Pearl Street Mall before, but this time, he published the walk at Photowalking.org, and he got quite a few more people to join us.
My shots are in this gallery, and here’s some links to other galleries of people who went with us.
My full gallery and the original invitation are below the break.
WHO: Anyone that wants to come along.
WHAT: The very first Boulder Photowalk
WHEN: Saturday, May 3rd at 9:00 AM.
WHERE: We will meet at the East end of Pearl Street Mall, corner of 15th and Pearl to begin our photowalk.
The entire route is 2.15 miles long and takes us through Pearl Street Mall, an outdoor, open-air mall with brick walkways, flower beds with Tulips, store fronts, sculptures and people (though not at 9am) and Boulder architecture. The route then winds up 11th Street to Canyon and then up 9th Street to University to capture Central Park and some of the buildings and landscapes of the CU campus before heading back north up 17th Street back to our starting point. We’ll find a spot on Pearl Street for lunch and conversation afterwards. (Any recommendations?)
For further details, including maps, contacts and sample images, please read my article at Photowalking.org.
Come out and join fellow photographers as we walk around a small section of Boulder. And you don’t have to make the entire route either, you can join us at any point along the route. Please call my cell phone if you need to locate our exact location during the walk.
WHY:?For those not familiar with what a photowalk is, the web site <http://www.photowalking.org/faq/> has a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page that will help explain, or you can call me and I’ll explain more about it. It’s nothing formal, just a walk around Boulder with our cameras, taking pictures of whatever we fancy.
Any questions, please email me or call me at <<<removed>>>. And feel free to pass this information on to your fellow photograhers — everyone is invited.?Hope you can join us!
Some of you belong to other photo clubs, please help us spread the word!
