On Sunday, May 20th, Gregg Lowrimore talked me into getting up early (before sunrise), pick him up, and go take pictures of the Erie Balloon Festival. My pictures are below.
This is an annual event, and this year, they launched about 65 balloons. This is the first time I’ve shot at a Balloon Festival, so I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to create. After seeing the results, I have a whole bunch more ideas about what to shoot next time. I was shooting primarily with a 12-24mm lens (wide angle), but in the future, I think I’ll break out the zoom lens a little more.
Gregg’s pictures can be viewed here, and Peter Wayne’s shots can be found here (we met Peter at the launch).
